Let's kick this thing off with a new recipe! This one was created by me this morning for my three dears who were begging for food! Maybe I should feed them once in a while?
Cran-Apple Granola Bar Recipe
2 1/2 cups rice krispies
2 cups oats
1 cup AP flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1 stick butter
1/2 cup karo syrup (light)
1/2 cup applesauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups diced dried apples (I dried my own in a 275 degree oven for about 20-30 min after dusting them with cinnamon)
1/2 cup dried sweetened cranberries
Melt butter in a large bowl, add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Press firmly into a well greased 9X13 pan. bake at 325 for 20-22 minutes or until golden brown.
